2004/45 Present

Cllrs. Crowther, Dean, O’Neill, Rodger, Ryder, Stewart and County Councillor Rob Toy and forty members of the public.

2004/46 Apologies

2004/47 To Approve Minutes of the Annual Village Meeting held on 20th April 2004.

The Minutes of the Annual Village Meeting held on Wednesday 20th April 2004, having been circulated, were accepted and approved as a true record by all present, proposed by Alona De Havilland and seconded by Liz Irwin.

2004/48 To note Chairman’s Report.

The Chairman asked if there were any questions relating to his report that had been circulated to all residents in the village – None.

2004/49 To Adopt the Accounts for the year ending 31st March 2004

The Receipts & Payments Accounts for the year ending 31st March 2004 were circulated to all present. The Chairman enquired if there were any questions; Alona De Havilland proposed, George Shepherd seconded and all agreed to the adoption and approval of the accounts.

2004/50 To receive Feast Week-end Up-date.

Kate Don informed the meeting that most of the events would be held at the Cricket grounds and outlined numerous events that would take place in the village on 2nd and 3rd July 2005 and the run up to the week-end on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.

2004/51 The Parish Plan

Cllr. Andy Stewart gave a resume of the contents of the Parish Plan and the “Action Plan”. He informed the meeting that he had received favourable comments from residents who had seen the draft copy that was on show in the Post Office. Already certain aspects of the Plan had been instigated, including preparing an Information Pack for all residents of the village. There followed a prize draw from the questionnaire returns. Cllr. Rodger thanked Cllr. Andrew Stewart and his team and also Adele Stainsby – Rural Community Development Officer for producing a first class document. County Councillor Toy also congratulated them on producing this useful document – something that Cottesmore was still having difficulty in achieving.
