2007/053 Sgt. Paul Coughlan
Sgt. Paul Coughlan informed the meeting that the Neigbourhood Policing was proving to be a success as crime in the village was down. The biggest problem was on the industrial estate and as a result, the police had increased the number of patrols in the area. Recently, 3000 vehicles were monitored for speeding over a 3 day period and the average speed was 34 mph; this took into account vehicles, travelling at 60 mph! He then answered questions from the floor and it was suggested that a working party should be formed to try and form a solution to this problem.

Kate Don the Archaeological Warden gave an interesting talk on the finds from a Romano-British Villa that formerly stood on the site in Main Street where they are now currently building Affordable Homes.
