2004/80 To Approve Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting of 2004-05-19
The Chairman having circulated the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 19th May 2004. Cllr. Rodger proposed and Cllr. Dean seconded that they be accepted as a true record and this was agreed by all present.
2004/81 To deal with matters, if any, remaining from the previous meeting
- 2004/74 - E 104 Footpath - Cllr. Rodger informed members that there had been several meetings between RCC and Mr. Barclay. The outcome is that Mr. Barclay will reopen the footpath when the current crop has been harvested, at which time the RCC will construct a bridge over the deep ditch.
2004/82 To receive Correspondence
There were several items of correspondence to circulate/notices for meetings:
- RCC - Parish Council Forum Meeting, Catmose, Thursday 15th July 2004 7pm. Cllr. Ryder agreed to attend and give report at next meeting.
- Hacker Young acknowledged 2004 Annual Return of Accounts.

- Rutland Community Safety Partnership - Questionnaire

2004/83 To authorise payments of accounts/S137 and note balances
Cllr. Crowther proposed and Cllr. Rodger seconded that the following invoices amounting to £323.66 be authorised for payment and that £1800.00 be transferred from the current account to the deposit account:
- Market Overton Parochial Church Council - Room Hire - £15.00
- ABB Ltd. - Street Light Maintenance - £133.66 (including VAT)
- David Curtis - Footpath re-alignment - £175.00
The Chairman circulated the Monthly Statement of Accounts and Quarterly Statement of Accounts and members noted the balance of accounts.
2004/84 To receive Planning Applications
Members agreed to support the following applications:
- FUL/2004/0586/MT - 3 Bowling Green Lane - Construction of porch extension to front (east) elevation.
- OUT/2004/0576/AH - Industrial Estate, Thistleton Road - Erection of two industrial units
Members noted that the following had received permission:
- FUL/2004/0471/AH - 15 Pinfold Lane - Two storey extension
- FUL/2004/0406/AH - 31 Thistleton Road - Single storey extension
- FUL/2004/0378/MS - 15 Main Street - Conversion of stables and workshop to residential annexe.
- FUL/2004/0401/MS - 29 Thistleton Road - Demolition of bungalow and erection of two one and a half storey dwellinghouses.
(Clerk to write to Dorsan Baker about appalling decision) - CAT/2004/0501/MT - Removal of 1 willow tree*
*Cllr. Dean declared interest.
2004/85 To view Millenium Sculpture and make decision
Cllr. Rodger informed members that the sculpture was in about twelve pieces and quite delicate. Members wondered whether it could be re-sited in a corner of the church so that people could still view (Clerk to enquire with church warden).
2004/86 Parish Plan Update
Cllr. Rodger produced the Parish Plan's questionnaire, which was "hot off the press". Members of the Parish Plan Group would be circulating this throughout the village and arranging collection by 31 July 2004.
2004/87 Burial Ground Update
The Chairman had written to Steve Gluning on 20th May 2004 and was still awaiting a reply.
