2006/085 To approve Minutes of 2006-06-07
Deferred - no member present to second proposition.
2006/086 To deal with matters, if any, remaining from previous meetings
- 2006/076 - FUL/2006/0432/CP - The Planning Department had granted permission and made it conditional on the three comments made by the Parish Council.
- 2004/148 - The Old Manor House - A draft deed of Access Grant was being made by RCC to the applicant, despite the objections of the Parish Council and residents. An investigation for services to and from the site had still to be resolved. Cllr. Rodger declared interest
2006/087 To receive Correspondence
- RCC - Street naming - Members endorsed the street names suggested by RCC except "Casey's Lane" which has historically been known as "Old Stamford Road".
2006/088 To authorise payments of accounts/S137 and note balances
Members' agreed that the following invoices be authorised for payment -
- ABB - Street Light Maintenance - £137.69 (inc. VAT)
- P.C.D.F. - £150.00
Members' noted balances on the Monthly and the Quarterly Statement of Accounts.
2006/089 To receive Planning Applications
Members agreed to support the following applications-
- FUL/2006/0696/MT - 1 Fountain Row - two storey extension.
- LBA/2006/0599/DTR - 18 Main Street - various internal alterations.
- LBA/2006/0691/DTR - 18 Main Street - construction of replacement conservatory.
- LBA/2006/0592/DTR - 3 Main Street - replace external door.
- CAT/2006/0616/MT - 40 Main Street - remove overhanging boughs.
Members noted the approval of the following-
- PTA/2006/0420 - Village Hall - remove deadwood, thin crown - 2 Lime trees. Cllr. Warwick declared interest
- FUL/2006/0432/CP - erection of stables and outdoor manege - OS Plot 6700
- FUL/2006/0349/MT - 40 Main Street - erection of two storey dwellinghouse.
2006/090 To Review Parish Plan
Members' reviewed 'Priority B' items on the Parish Plan and noted that most of these were the responsibility of the local authority. Angela Essom the new Community Consultation Officer for Rutland had offered her help and would attend the next meeting to discuss these matters, amongst others. Members' agreed to purchase wild flowers to be planted on the grass verge near the copse on Main Street and obtain costs for larger litter bins, to replace bins at the post office and village hall.
2006/091 To Appoint Heritage Warden
Deferred until vacancy advertised in Outreach magazine.
2006/092 Working Group Report
- Burial Ground - no meeting had taken place.
- Grass Cutting - three councillors had met George Chase from RCC and expressed their dissatisfaction with the standard of grass-cutting in village. It was agreed that Cllr. Dean would obtain quotations for this service, from the private sector.
2006/093 To note future items
- Parish Plan - 'Priority B' and to meet Angela Eassom.
- Bowling Green Lane
- To appoint Heritage Warden.

It was agreed to hold the next Parish Council meeting, in the Church Meeting Room on Wednesday 9 August 2006 at 19:30
