2006/112 To approve Minutes of 2006-08-09

Cllr. Stewart proposed, Cllr. Warwick seconded that the Minutes of 9 August 2006 be accepted as a true record, with the additional minute that had been omitted - "Cllr. Rob Toy agreed to liaise with the Chairman to finalise the arrangements for this year's Christmas Party at RAF Cottesmore" and this was agreed.

2006/113 To deal with matters, if any, remaining from previous meetings

2006/092 - Grass cutting - RCC had been informed of Britten's taking over the grass cutting for next year and they had requested a copy of his public liability policy.
2006/101 - Alliance & Leicester - now an increase in interest rates!
2006/106 - Burial Ground - the working group would meet on Friday 8 September.

2006/114 To receive Correspondence

Affordable Homes - Chairman and Clerk to meet RCC and Agent on Thistleton Road, later in the month.
R & I Reay - copy of letter sent to RCC noted.
RCC - trees on Thistleton Road still to be done.
RCC - asking if the parish wanted additional street cleaning.
RCC - new village signs - it was agreed to acquire new signs to the village.
RCC - letter sent to RCC asking to be included on the list for 2 Victoriana litter bins in next years budget, to replace bins at Post Office & ²Village Hall.
Market Overton might be a pilot village, for volunteers using speed guns.

2006/115 To authorise payments of accounts

Members' agreed that the following be authorised for payment -

²Market Overton Village Hall - £300.00 - S137 grant
P.C.D.F. - £150.00
MOPCC - £10.00 - Room Hire
ABB - £137.69 (including VAT) Street Light Maintenance
Bluebell bulbs for Main Street - £50.00

Members' noted balances on the Monthly Statement of Accounts.

2006/116 To receive Planning Applications

Members agreed to support the following application-

FUL/2006/0841/MT - ¹59 Thistleton Road - construction of conservatory.

Members noted proposed amendment to condition 3 - Thistleton Quarry.

Members noted the approval of the following-

FUL/2006/0696/MT - 1 Fountains Row - 2 storey extension
LBA/2006/0599/DTR - 18 Main Street - internal alterations
LBA/2006/0691/DTR - 18 Main Street - construction of replacement conservatory

2006/117 Footpath/Cycle path to Cottesmore

The Chairman read out a letter from Barrow Parish Council asking the Parish Council to support their bid for a footpath/cycle path to be constructed, as a "safer route" to Cottesmore - this was agreed and the Clerk would write a letter of support to RCC.
