MINUTES
2007/072 Acceptance of Office
On arrival - the Councillors signed their Register of Members' interest forms and handed them in with the Declarations of Acceptance of Office forms.

2007/076 To approve Minutes of 2007-05-02
Cllr. Stewart proposed, Cllr. Ryder seconded that the Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting of 2 May 2007 be accepted as a true record and this was agreed.
2007/077 To deal with matters, if any, remaining from previous meetings
- 2007/055 - Wheelie Bins - query whether RCC granted licence for this.
- 2007/063 - Members' thanked Cllr. Warwick1 for replanting the three flower troughs.
- 2007/067 - Clerk confirmed letter had been sent to Cottesmore Parish Council.
2007/078 To receive Correspondence
- NCHA - Affordable houses to be completed by November 2007.
- Dr. Ian Ryder2 - BT had removed wires from telegraph pole and responsibility to replace pole with new street light would be required in next years programme.
- Julian Simpson - reported that the Horse Chestnut tree on the Village Green appeared to have the classic symptom of "Bleeding canker". Highways Department would monitor situation.
- RCC - Rights of Way Improvement Plan Response form handed out.
- RCC - Local Access Forum Vacancy.
- RCC - Result of Unitary Council Election - Members congratulated both County Councillors' Rodger and Toy on being re-elected.
2007/079 To authorise payments of accounts
Members agreed that the following be authorised for payment -
- MOPCC - £10.00 (2 Meetings)
- BDG Mowing Services - £210.00 (2 cuts)
- Parish Clerk - £160.00
- MOPCC - £400.00 - S137 Grant towards churchyard maintenance
- ABB - Street Light Maintenance - £148.68
- Plants1 and paint for bench seats - £42.98
Members noted balances on the Monthly Statement of Accounts.
2007/080 Planning Applications
Members supported the following planning applications-
- PTA/2007/0423/MT - 9 Cordle Way - Pollard 1 Lime tree
- FUL/2007/0456/CC - 5 Pinfold Lane - Construction of porch
- FUL/2007/0517/CC - extension to Unit & erection of new Unit
(The Parish Council requests a contribution is made by the applicant towards Highway improvements, to create a safer route to the Doctor's Surgery).
Members noted the Section 106 Agreement to FUL/2006/0987/CP
2007/081 To Adopt Revised Code of Conduct
After a general discussion, members agreed to adopt the revised Model Code of Conduct including paragraph 12(2).
2007/082 Reports
- Burial Ground - Cllr. Ryder on behalf of the Council had written to MOPCC and a reply had been received from Revd. Geoff Angell by the Chairman. The PCC had undertaken a survey of the churchyard which revealed that there were 70 plots available - about 20 years use before considering re-using burial plots. No Closure Order was now required.
- Speed survey group had yet to meet - Peter Knight had been co-opted on.
