MINUTES
2007/121 Present
Cllr's. Crowther, Hudson, Rodger and Stewart - as no keys were available at the Village Hall the Meeting was transferred to the Church Meeting Room and commenced at 7-15 p.m.

2007/124 To approve Minutes
Cllr. Rodger proposed, Cllr. Crowther seconded that the Minutes of 5 September 2007 be accepted as a true record and this was agreed.
2007/125 Matters arising
2007/055 - Wheelie bins - Highways will remove the 4 wheelie bins within a week if not already collected by the supplier.
2007/126 Correspondence
- RCC - 2 New Street lights to be positioned on Main Street.
- RCC - Affordable houses to be known as Walker Close.
- Cottesmore Parish Council - 10 places for Christmas party - reply to be sent to join committee to discuss future allocations.
- RCC - £5,000 contribution towards road safety improvements. Members supported road improvements and requested a quotation from Highways Department.
2007/127 Payments
Members agreed that the following invoices be authorised for payment-

Members noted balances on the Monthly & Quarterly Statement of Accounts.
2007/128 Planning Applications
Members supported the following planning applications-
- FUL/2007/0898/CP - 31 Thistleton Road - amendment to condition 5.

- CAT/2007/0740/MT - 8 Teigh Road - fell 2 Leylandii trees
- FUL/2007/0629/MT1 - 59 Thistleton Road - ground floor extension
- FUL/2007/0630/MT - 3-5 Fountains Row - erection of one and half storey house
2007/129 Reports
Speeding working group - The Chairman agreed to be co-ordinator for the scheme; training would take place late November - early December for the volunteers to commence the 'speed watch' in the New Year.
2007/130 Parish Plan
Cllr. Stewart checked the items marked 'C' on the Parish Plan and members agreed that little more required to be done.
2007/131 Post Office
Cllr. Rodger informed members that the closures would be announced on 2 November for public comment.
2007/132 Recycling
Cllr. Rodger informed members that the 3 wheelie bin system would start on Monday 31st March 2008. Members agreed to hold a Village Meeting to discuss this matter, on Wednesday 6th February 2008, at the Village Hall following the Parish Council Meeting.
