2007/149 Present

2007/151 Declarations

2007/152 To approve Minutes

Cllr. Hudson proposed, Cllr. Stewart seconded that the Minutes of 7 November 2007 be accepted as a true record and this was agreed.

2007/153 Matters arising

2007/055 - Wheelie bins - Highways Department had now handed their file over to the Legal Department to resolve the matter
2007/146 - Pensioners Christmas Party - Cllr. Stewart reported ten people had enjoyed the event. Cottesmore Parish Council did offer additional places, this was withdrawn - within a few hours!

2007/154 Correspondence

Rural Community Council - Survey on behalf of EMDA.
RCC - Civil Parking - Enforcement of Rutland Highways.
Powergen - informed the Council of a 300% increase in Street Lighting charges - from £400 + VAT to £1247.16 + VAT. The Clerk had made numerous enquiries from other suppliers and on the proposition of Cllr. Stewart, seconded by Cllr. Warwick, members agreed to change supplier to Scottish & Southern Energy who had quoted £796.32 + VAT.

Members noted the Monthly Statement of Accounts.

2007/156 Planning Applications

Members supported the following planning applications-

FUL/2007/1013/NT - 12 Main Street - various works on 2 garages & replacement gates.
LBA/2007/0868/NT - 12 Main Street - various works on 2 garages & replacement gates.
FUL/2007/1025/MT - The Lodge - single storey extension to side.

Members noted the approval of -

FUL/2007/0961/MT - Extension to Production office - Mosdorfer Ltd.

2007/157 Reports

Speeding working group - Training will be given either 23rd or 24th January for the Scheme to commence on Monday 28th January 2008.
Litter Pick - Cllr. Carlisle informed members that 1 volunteer had come forward so far.

2007/158 Thistleton Road improvements

Highways had now increased their costs, from £17,000 to £24,000. Cllr. Rodger had agreed to look into this matter to see if County would meet the difference.

2007/159 Post Office closures

Members' noted that the Post Office would remain open.

2007/160 Future items

Thistleton Road Safety improvements.

It was agreed to hold the next Parish Council Meeting on Wednesday 2 January 2008 at 7.00 p.m. in the Church Meeting Room. (Meeting closed at 7-35 p.m.)
