2008/004 To approve Minutes
Cllr. Stewart proposed, Cllr. Warwick seconded that the Minutes of 5 December 2007 be accepted as a true record and this was agreed.
2008/005 Matters arising
2007/146 and 2007/153 - Pensioners Christmas Party - allocation of places - C/Cllr. Rob Toy had sent an e-mail to the Clerk of Cottesmore Parish Council enquiring - "Can you please advise me of the circumstances behind the withdrawal?" Members noted that no answer had been circulated from the Clerk. It was noted that Cottesmore Parish Council had not replied to our e-mail of 4 October 2007, requesting that members from Market Overton Parish Council join the 'committee' in January 2008, to discuss reviewing a fairer system of allocations.
2008/006 Correspondence
- RCC - Council Tax Consultation - 19 January 2008 at 10 am - Catmose, Oakham.
- A.R.Traylen - Local History of Rutland Publications - requesting assistance with photograph for updating "Villages of Rutland" (1976 publication).
- RCC - requesting the collection of Register of Electors.
2008/007 Payments
Parish Clerk Members noted the Monthly and also Quarterly Statement of Accounts.
2008/008 Planning Applications
Members noted the approval of -
- FUL/2007/1013/NT - 12 Main Street - various works on 2 garages & replacement gates.
- LBA/2007/0868/NT - 12 Main Street - various works on 2 garages & replacement gates.
- CAT/2007/1 004/MT - 6 Teigh Road - work to 3 sycamore trees.
2008/009 Reports
Speedwatch - The training day was now arranged for Wednesday 23 January 2008 at 7 p.m. in the Village Hall - the scheme to be implemented from 28 January 2008.
2008/010 Thistleton Road improvements
Highways now ranked the Scheme at 22 on the list of projects and confirmed it was not included in the 2008/9 programme of works. Members queried whether the list was based on the cost of each scheme - e.g. £24,000 - whereas it might have a higher listing as the balance was now £5,000! Perhaps the Access Budget could finance the difference - but RCC and Access Group keep passing the can who can authorise it!
