2008/027 To Approve Minutes
Cllr. Warwick proposed, Cllr. Hudson seconded that the Minutes of 6 February 2008 be accepted as a true record and this was agreed.
2008/028 Matters Arising
- 2007/156 - Affordable Housing - NCHA agreed that the £2000 donation could be allocated towards the Thistleton Road safety improvement scheme.
- 2008/028 - Planning Application - Quarry access road - The planning department confirm that lorries will turn left to Sewstern and the up to Colsterworth for access to the A1 and not have access to Thistleton or Market Overton.
- 2008/021 - Speedwatch - Following a 4 week speed watch period, Highways Department are considering a request to move the 30 mph speed limit signs, halfway down the hill on Teigh Road.
2008/029 Correspondence
- The Feast Weekend Steering Group1 has requested to erect a Christmas Tree on the Village Green - the Chairman will discuss the matter with them.
2008/039 Payments
Members agreed the payments of:
- Market Overton Parochial Church Council - 2 Meetings.
- Rutland County Council - New Village Signs.
- Parish Clerk
- Southern Electric - February street lighting
- ABB Ltd. - Street lightin maintenance
and agreed to sign a new bankers mandate for cheques.
Members noted the Monthly Statement of Accounts.
2008/031 Planning Applications
Members supported the following planning application:
- FUL/2008/0093/NT - 59 Thistleton Road - Construction of 2 storey extension.
Members noted the approval of:
- FUL/2007/1025/MT - The Lodge Trust - Construction of single storey extension.

2008/033 Calor Best Village Competition
Members decided not to bother with this competition and decided to concentrate on RCC Best Kept Village competition instead.
2008/034 Agenda for Annual Village Meeting
Members approved Chairman's Report and suggested 'Village Spring Clean' as one of the items for the agenda.

- Maintenance of Millenium Garden.

It was agreed to hold the next Parish Council Meeting in the Village Hall on Wednesday 2nd April 2008 at 6:45pm to be followed at 7:30pm with the Annual Village Meeting (Meeting closed at 7:40pm)
