2008/040 To approve Minutes

Cllr. Hudson proposed, Cllr. Warwick seconded that the Minutes of 5 March 2008 be accepted as a true record and this was agreed.

2008/041 Matters arising

2007/156 - Affordable Housing - Denman's have now removed debris from hedgerow.
2008/029 - Feast Weekend Steering Group¹ - a grant had been pledged to install a mini feeder pillar to be fitted to the lamp-post on the village green.
2007/078 - Street Light² - the order for a new street light on the gable end of the outer buildings to 38 Main Street had been placed with ABB at a cost of £1658.00 + VAT.
2008/021 - 30 mph speed restriction extension - RCC - to review situation by summer.
2008/010 - Thistleton Road improvements - Cllr. Rodger informed members that the 'waiting list system' was being reviewed and that important discussions would take place the following day. The scheme was now earmarked to cost £34,000 (including traffic calming scheme) and could possibly be implemented in the 2010/2011 financial year.

2008/042 Correspondence

Audit Commission - confirming Clements Keys as external auditor to the Parish Council.
RCC - Decorative Village sign - Parish Council will need a licence for the sign, though by custom and practice, no charge is made.
RCC - Highways Signage Principles - questionnaire.

2008/043 Payments

Members agreed the payments of:

Leics. & Rutland Playing Fields Association - Annual Subs.
Leics. & Rutland Association of Local Councils - Annual Subs.
Friends of Rutland County Museum - Annual Subs.
ABB Ltd. - Street Light Repair.
Rural Community Council Annual Subs.
Parish Clerk.
Market Overton Village Hall - Room Hire.
Market Overton Bowls Club - S137 Grant.
BDG Mowing - Village Grass Cutting.
Julia Smith - Catering. and signed new bankers mandate for cheques.

Members noted the Quarterly & Monthly Statement of Accounts.

2008/044 Planning Applications

Members supported the following planning application:

FUL/2008/0174/JR - Top Yard Silverwood Farms, Market Overton Road, Thistleton -erection of portal framed corn store.

Members noted the approval of:

FUL/2008/0093/NT³ - 59 Thistleton Road - construction of 2 storey extension.
