2009/116 To approve Minutes
RESOLVED That the Minutes of the Meeting held on 2nd September 2009 be confirmed.
2009/117 Matters arising
- 2009/106 – Gritting – Cllr. Rodger reported that RCC Cabinet had agreed to add Teigh to Market Overton road on the gritting rota, (at no cost to the Parish) even though it had been ‘gritted’ unofficially for the past three years!
- 2009/109 – Digital Rutland – Kevin Brooks from RCC had taken the ‘lead’ in discussions with East Midland Development Agency.
- 2009/095 – NCHA – had sent letter to owner of transit van ordering him to remove it off private land (Walker Close).
2009/118 Correspondence
- Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Combined Fire Authority – Meeting to discuss Integrated Risk Management Plan 2009-2012.
- BT invitation to purchase red telephone box in the village for £ 1.00 – without the phone equipment! The Parish Council RESOLVED not to purchase this listed structure (NGR: SK88796163304 –listed on 23 August 1988) with the on-going responsibility of maintaining it in perpetuity. BT Payphones have confirmed that ‘the maintenance of the kiosk would continue to be the responsibility of BT should the Parish Council choose not to adopt the kiosk’.
- George Phillips Award – The official award ceremony will be held at Oakham Castle on 10th December 2009 at 7 p.m.
- RCC - Pinfold Lane (Bridleway E109) are considering ‘pinch point fencing’ to control cars that speed along this bridleway.
- RCC – Parish Council Forum – Monday 30 November 2009 at 7 p.m. Council Chamber.
- Anonymous request to paint street light outside 26 Main Street in stone-work colour
- MOPAA - request for contribution towards insurance for play area.

2009/120 Planning Applications
Members supported the following application -
- CAT/2009/0962/APB – 50 Main Street² – Fell 2 Conifers and Crown reduce 3 Plum Trees
- LBA/2009/0891/NH – 30 Main St; Alteration to internal layout and conversion of buildings
- FUL/2009/0883/NH – 30 Main Street – Conversion of agricultural buildings to residential
2009/121 Allotments¹
The Parish Clerk read out Cllr's Ryder's Report stating that possibly the best way forward is to rent a prcel of land for 5 years and then maybe on a yearly rolling programme. She had spoken to several landowners and was still waiting for a reply
